About the artists performing:

Lynda Phoenix has a diversity of sound; global influences via soul, jazz, funk and driven by upbeat vocals and bumpin afro beats. Her involvement in the London underground scene spans over two decades which gives credence to her educated selection of beats. Over the years she has played alongside a diverse range of artists includes Louie Vega, Atjazz, Kenny Dope, Jose Carretas, Kaidi Tatham, Robert Owens, Reel People, Ian Friday, Arnold Jarvis, DJ Disciple, Norman Jay, Simbad to name but a few. Lynda Phoenix is also a well known figure head in the digital music industry. Previously managing download stores for Clickgroove, Xpressbeats and DJ Mag, she currently works as digital manager for leading house label Defected Records.

Josey ReBelle holds down the 03:00-05:00am Friday night slot on London's Rinse FM with an imbued poise and casual flippancy totally unphased by her male peers sometimes near indifference of her presence - this gal knows how to get the party grooving with the deadliest arsenal of house (Chicago/acid/deep), Detroit techno, boogie, electro, funk, garage, hardcore and jungle, and has held down several monthly residencies at Londons musical mecca Plastic People, including its Nonsense, Gullyver and DeckQueenz club nights, as well as being a regular at Eglo, Standard Place, Boiler Room and Bounty events.

Sista Stroke has her musical roots deeply rooted, and span across the boundaries of genre and geography. She is a child of the b-boy generation whose journey though life has included living in Houston, San Antonio, Panama, McLean (VA), most recently Chicago, with a stop over in Los Angeles, and now London. Previously, as part of the Rebel Crew she played styles ranging with a determination that soon got her noticed. She has been booked to open for various acts: Afrika Bambaattaa, The Executioners, Tortured Soul, King Britt, Derrick Carter, Joey Beltram, Donald Glaude, DJ Dan, Method Man, Boo Williams, Mark Farina, Kaskade, and Super Jane (Lady D, Colette, Dayhota, and DJ Heather). She herself has now progressed, becoming a headliner through consistency in her DJing and a growing discography.

As a producer, Sista Stroke has found a place musically where she can truly explore the depths of her creativity. In 2004 she became the preeminent in-house producer/remixer for Mother Tongue and Innuendo Records. Armed with a plethora of Underground relases she has made a name for herself; a player of House not to be overlooked. Sista Stroke is now poised to make her mark on the industry with projects on Revolutionary Music as well as several other indie labels. Her releases on Revolutionary Music range from House to Hip Hop to down-tempo. Catch her on the airwaves presenting, Brick City House, every Wednesday evening at 7pm GMT, on Chicago House FM.

DJ Brenda Russell is known for the love of music - for the love of sport.

Brenda has been an international DJ'ing for over 2 decades and is renowned for her funky & experimental techno and house sets worldwide. She has made guest performances at Fabric, Lost, Universe Voyager in London, Tresor (Berlin), Rex Club (Paris) and Exit Festival (Serbia) to name just a few and held residencies at Base, Deep Space and Knowledge with Colin Faver, Colin Dale, Jim Masters & Trevor Rockliffe.

She worked at Phuture Trax promoting dance music to club and radio markets promoting Carl Cox's Fact 1 compilation for which she was awarded a bp silver disc for sales of over 100,000 copies. Behind the world of radio and on air Brenda has performed live on Ministry of Sound, Kiss FM (Berlin), B-92 (Serbia) and Rádio Cultura FM, Belém, in Brazil as well as many other stations worldwide featuring her guest mixes.

With her deep routed love & passion of soul, drum n bass and good quality dance music. recently she has worked on releases from Norman Jay, Gilles Peterson, Expansions Soul Sauce 25, Nightmares On Wax, Sub Focus, Tom Moulton Remixes and Body and Soul albums at Radical PR.

Brenda has also completed various charity runs including the London Marathon for Leukemia Care, a half marathon at Silverston race track (the home of Formula 1), various Race For Life events for Cancer Research, 10 laps around Arsenal Football Clubs home ground 'The Emirates Stadium' to raise money for Centrepoint Homeless Children and her last challenge was the Boutique Run in Battersea Park to raise money for Breakthrough

Breast Cancer. She's an all round champion on and off the decks.

Sophia SoFIREsoFINE is one of the resident DJ's at Soul In The Algarve, Portugal (run by Vivy B), Sophia's penchant for the revival of Funk, Swing Beat, r & b, Rare Grooves, Broken Beat and sophisticated Soul has found her favour with many club venues with gigs at The Fish, Maximus, Bar Circa, Tokyo Joes, Touch Bar, Medicine Bar, The Lime to name a few, and she has landed guest slots on radio stations including Guess FM and TSOL. In Sophia's spare time she is the Director at Fire In The Soul Ltd that works with young people providing empowerment and self awareness training through music. DJ Tutoring is also offered on a one to one basis or in a group workshop setting.

Shea Soul is a writer and in demand young singer from London, who's worked on Dance to funkier and deeper Soulful Dance. Since her critically acclaimed release of 'Tricks' produced by Restless Soul's Phil Asher, Shea's raspy and velvety voice has appeared on a number of tracks including: her current single 'No Sugar' for Joey Negro & Gramophonedzie, and to date she worked with The Layabouts, MJ Cole, Twin Cities, Funk Butcher, Attacca Pesante, Guynamite and Phlash & Friends.

Miracle is a South London based vibrant singer, songwriter, who from a young age has always been inspired to compose songs that encourage, inspire and touch her audience vibrantly! As an artist her songs feature an eclectic mix of Reggae, Dance, Pop, Dubstep - all autobiographical delivered in a raw and honest, enthused with dramatic passion. "My songs are from the heart. I aim to take the listener into a musical journey into the miracle of Love and life."

DJ Marcia Carr aka DaVinylMC, a one-time jazz dancer with many talents; a music writer, an event hostess + member of the Ladyz DJ crew.

Marcia's club DJ sets of deeper, soulful, jazzy style encompassing Funk, boogie, Detroit tech, Gospel, Broken Beat, Chicago house, neo soul, Afro and dubstep has taken her to guest club slots on-line alongside the likes around the world, and, have also featured her on the radio internationally and venues like the Ministry Of Sound of Bob Sinclair, David Morales and MAW.

As a broadcaster/producer, Marcia has recently co presented programs on http://colourfulradio.com & http://ministryofsound.com. That aside, music consultancy, PR for distinct record labels/artists, to studio production/remix work keep the DJ on her toes, and keeps her very much in demand.
