hush, making its much anticipated return to the Elgar Room, in association with Double Denim Records presents:
Maria Minerva
In 2011, Maria Minerva signed to the acclaimed Los Angeles based label Not Not Fun and released her debut record Tallinn At Dawn.
On August 1, Not Not Fun released her highly anticipated LP Cabaret Cixous. She has been featured in the Guardian, NME, Uncut and countless other publications and has just completed her first European tour including a sell-out London show.
Outfit
The Liverpool-based band emerged in 2011 under a cloud of mystery. The band's dark, disenfranchised mini-narratives have led to them featuring as NME's Radar band of the month, Q's 'ones to watch' for 2012 and tipped by The Guardian, The Times & Line Of Best Fit.
Debut single Two Islands is the bands calling card and mission statement, a near-seven minute euphoric pop song with soaring vocals and synths all underpinned by subtle electronics.
NZCA/LINES
The creation of Your Twenties bassist Michael Lovett; soft falsetto, sparkling melodies and an overriding sense of fun push new single Compass Points through a maze of R&B tinged electro-pop.
Newly signed to LOAF recordings, this Elgar Room performance coincides with the release of their debut album.
Juk Juk
London producer Caleb Waterman, who knob-twiddles as Juk Juk, released new single Winter Turn Spring on electronic pioneer, Four Tet's, Text label.
His debut single Locked was recently highlighted as part of Four Tet's Fabriclive 59 mix.
