Flyerbug has been up and running for almost a year now, and today we launch a brand new version of the site, completely redesigned and re-coded from the bottom up.

The logic behind doing this was two fold - the old site design was functional but not very attractive, and it was also tediously slow, mainly due to code bloat. The original site was put together in a hurry and, as is so often the case with these things, without a 100% clear vision of what the final site would have to do. This time round we were much clearer what had to be done and managed to half the amount of code used which has significantly increased the speed of the site.

In the time Flyerbug has been up and running we have seen well over half a million flyer views from people all over the world, listed more than 22,000 events and had some great feedback along the way.

Along with the redesign we have also launched a few new features that you should check out - you can now keep up-to-date with the latest events without even having to visit Flyerbug.co.uk. You can create your own custom RSS feed or, if you become a registered user you can sign up to receive email alerts as often as you like for your favourite searches.

We're also very excited to be able to offer our very own Andriod app, giving you instant access to details of whats on in your area.
